How the price is calculated: the distance grid
Up to 55 km, the price is a flat rate per distance band: you pay the amount of the band, however long the traffic takes. Over 55 km, the price is calculated per kilometre on the whole distance of the trip.

The number of passengers and bags does not change the price: it only decides which vehicle fits.
What the airport taxi price includes
The price covers the trip, help with your luggage and, on arrival, waiting time caused by a flight delay. Traffic jams do not change the agreed amount. There is nothing to add when you arrive.
Fixed price or metered taxi?
A taxi from the airport rank runs on the meter: the final price depends on traffic and route. With a fixed-price booking you know the exact cost in advance, which also makes expense claims easier for business trips.
Sedan, estate or van?
Up to 3 passengers with normal luggage, a sedan is enough. With a lot of suitcases, an estate gives more room. From 4 or 5 people, or with sports equipment, a van for up to 8 is often cheaper than two cars.

Example travel times to Zaventem
Travel time does not change the price, but it helps you choose when to leave. From central Brussels, allow 20 to 30 minutes; from Leuven, about twenty minutes; from Antwerp, 35 to 45 minutes; from Ghent or Namur, about an hour; from Liège, Mons or Bruges, one hour to an hour and a half.
